The culinary autumn experience on holiday in South Tyrol

What exactly is Törggelen and what is this custom all about? We are often asked about it - here is our personal explanation:

Autumn not only brings a lot of colour into play, but also provides a bit of cosiness in the Törggele period, a time that is particularly interesting from a culinary point of view in our gourmet board in South Tyrol. Hiking, enjoyment and joie de vivre: these are the late summer and autumn days in Villanders!

Beginning:

The Törggelen season in Villandro opens with the Sauderer Kirchtag, a folk festival in Villandro on the third Sunday in September - on this public holiday, green doughnuts, sausage with sauerkraut, chestnuts, wine and many other specialities can be tasted for the first time with music and drinks. Törggelen in Villanders is all the more wonderful when you know that cosy accommodation is waiting for you.
